FHA / HUD
Dwight Capital’s executives have extensive market expertise and a wealth of financial knowledge. With over $4 billion worth of closed loans under section 223(f), 223(a)(7), and 221(d)(4), this expert team maintains close relationships with the Department of Housing and Urban Development headquarters and LEAN specialists.
Dwight Capital supports development and rehabilitation of low income housing in rural areas. Through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Section 538 Loan Programs, Dwight Capital assists in providing financing for new construction or substantial rehabilitation for multifamily and senior housing rental units in towns with less than 25,000 people. Dwight Capital’s team guides clients through every step of the application process, from the NOFA (Notice of Funds Available) Response and submission to the comprehensive application review. The process of reviewing and approving the application takes 45-120 days through USDA, and Dwight Capital will make sure it is done correctly the first time. Our expertise and experience will ensure a smooth and stress-free process for all USDA Section 538 loans.
Mezzanine / Preferred Equity
Dwight Capital has deep relationships with institutional equity providers as well as many private equity sources. We identify and raise the equity required for the transaction and ensure that the borrower’s equity partners are a suitable productive match for the long term.

Dwight Capital’s expert team has a comprehensive knowledge of both the 4% and 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, which are used to finance the construction and restoration of low-income, affordable, rental housing. Dwight’s team works closely with borrowers, HUD, and various other local finance agencies to see the transaction through to completion. The Company also maintains strong banking relationships, enabling it to provide developers with the most appropriate and competitive tax credit equity bridge loans should the project experience an equity gap which is common in the development of affordable housing properties with tax credits.
